About Us
Founded during the summer of 2021, the Circle City Orchestra was a longtime dream of founder Jarod Wilkerson. An Indiana native, he saw the need for an open & affirming opportunity for instrumentalists from throughout the Indianapolis metro area to make music together in a musically creative environment that was reflective of traditional orchestras, but also something fresh and new!
Circle City Orchestra is an exciting opportunity for instrumentalists in the greater Indianapolis area!
With a focus on community engagement and inclusivity, Circle City Orchestra is an all-volunteer, civic minded orchestra which focuses on creating a unique rehearsal and performance environment for musicians and audiences alike. Not only does this ensemble present exciting new orchestral works by modern-day composers, but also revisits the masterworks of past centuries.
At the heart of the Circle City Orchestra is its desire to present engaging, inclusive, accessible, and high-quality musical experiences for all involved.
The Athenaeum is Circle City Orchestra’s home. Circle City Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
